Google Maps Offers New Features for 2021

Search with Live View

Google Maps is rolling out a new augmented reality feature that lets you explore and interact with the world around you in real time. With Search with Live View, you can hold up your phone and see directions, points of interest, and other information overlaid on the real world. This feature is rolling out to Android and iOS devices later this year.

Indoor Live View

Google Maps is also adding Indoor Live View, which will let you navigate indoor spaces like malls and airports. With Indoor Live View, you can see a map of the indoor space, as well as your current location. This feature will be rolling out to select locations later this year.

Commuting Updates

Google Maps is also getting some new commuting updates. The app will now show you real-time traffic conditions and transit information, so you can plan your commute more effectively. Additionally, Google Maps will now let you book rideshare services directly from the app.
