BVB reaches UEFA Champions League final
Dortmund beats Paris Saint-Germain to advance
German club will face Chelsea in London on May 29
Borussia Dortmund has reached the UEFA Champions League final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals. The German club will now face Chelsea in the final at Wembley Stadium in London on May 29.
Dortmund won the first leg of the semi-final 2-1 at home, and they held on to their advantage in the second leg at the Parc des Princes in Paris. PSG took the lead in the second half through Edinson Cavani, but Dortmund equalized through Marco Reus. Cavani then scored again to put PSG back in front, but Dortmund substitute Adrian Ramos scored a dramatic late equalizer to send the German club to the final.
Dortmund is now just one win away from winning their first Champions League title since 1997. They will be hoping to repeat their triumph over Chelsea in the 2013 final, when they won 2-1 at Wembley Stadium.
